Working Models

I build AI agents for businesses.

Bart Slodyczka

I'm based in South Yarra and I co-own Joolca, an outdoor gear brand my brother started. I began there packing boxes. Later I got our products into Anaconda and BCF, then spent six years building the support system before AI could do any of it.

For the last two and a half years I've run an AI channel, now at 75,000 subscribers, and built agents for clients. Most of them are overseas because that's where the channel reaches. I'd like more of them to be Australian.

So I can talk margin and OKRs in a planning session, then go and build the workflow myself. Most people do one or the other.

Why the agents hold up

It's not the model. Models are the easy part and they get better without me.

The hard part is knowing which work should reach a person and which shouldn't. Get that wrong and you've automated your worst customer experience.

What I work in n8n Claude and Claude Code OpenAI Retell, voice LM Studio and Ollama Gemma and Qwen, locally Shopify Supabase Straight code where it's simpler I don't resell anyone's software, so I've got no margin to protect.

Where to next

If you haven't looked at the free resources, start there. Nothing here needs you to talk to me first.
